Msde 2000

Hi

I installed the MSDE that comes with Office 2000. When connecting to my mdf, I received an error saying that the header file is invalid. I understand that the MSDE shipped with Office 2000 uses the SQL 7 engine, therefore it does not recognize the my SQL 2000 database file format. Can someone tell me where can I get a copy of the correct version of MSDE that will work with my SQL 2000 mdf?

Thanks

Hi all,
msdbdata.mdf is missing after I install an instance of MSDE.
What could be causing this?
Thanks

are you sure you correctly installed MSDE? no error has been reported? the
verbose log file shows no problems?
msdb database is a system database and is part of a proper installation...

|||Hi Andrea,
Yes, there was no error reported while installing.
I know that msdb is a system DB, that's what is bugging me.
I will check the log file again and see if there is anything funny reported
even though an error isn't logged.
Thanks,
Jason
